IRC — Information & Resource Centre
Backed by Sri Sharada Peetam, Sringeri and Rotary Bangalore West, IRC has been quietly building awareness about autism and developmental disabilities since 2006. Their philosophy: every child matters, every child has the right to be part of a community.
Founded in 2006, IRC is a charitable trust promoted by Sri Sharada Peetam, Sringeri, in association with Rotary Bangalore West. Focuses on creating awareness about special needs and building support systems for people with autism and other developmental disabilities. Provides training programmes, workshops, an early intervention centre, and the Kalaangana arts programme. Registered with National Trust, Rehabilitation Council of India, and Government of Karnataka under the Persons with Disabilities Act. Note: Google Maps currently lists IRC as temporarily closed — call ahead or check their website before visiting. Hope TEIC runs its early-intervention unit on these premises.
