District Early Intervention Centre (DEIC), IGICH
This is one of the most important resources most Bengaluru families don't know exists. The DEIC at Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health screens and supports children 0-18 for developmental delays — including autism — at no cost. It's part of a national programme called RBSK. The wait times can be long, and the infrastructure is stretched. But it's free, it's staffed by specialists, and it's a critical first step for families who can't access private diagnostic services.
